  B1 Procedures 

 Sourcing finance personal/ resources  

The essential equipment I will need to be able to start my film production is a camera, microphone and tripod. These pieces of equipment will be essential for me to use in order to start filming. I will be deriving these pieces of equipment from Ark Putney Academy (School) meaning I will not have to consider these items when it comes to calculating my budget for my film production. Some more key equipment I will be using, and needing is different cables and wires and batteries which I will source using my own personal finances.  

For personal I will be using 5 actors who will all be my family/ friends therefore I will not need to pay for actors meaning I don’t need to consider them during my budget logs as I am not actually hiring them. My costumes makeup and props will mostly be sourced through online retail shops such as amazon and Argos as a lot of my costume and props will be school uniforms which will consist of just white shirts and skirts which I can purchase on amazon or other retail brands such as Primark and H&M I will also be using my own resources to make things for my make up resources such as fake blood and bruises which I can make myself therefore they do not need to be considered in with my budget. When it comes to my props the only two props I need is a knife which I can get and use from my house and a phone which I can also use from my own personal resources.

Health and safety considerations  

 

My film will be shot in 3 places one is a school and the other is a house and the last one is an alleyway, which means there will be some health and safety requirements, especially when filming inside the house. In order not to clash with the students/teachers working in the school I will need to film either at the weekend or during term times to make sure that the filming will not be an obstruction to pupils/teachers' everyday life. For the alleyway shot the most important thing is just to make sure there is no dangerous equipment that would harm my actors and to make sure there are no people around when filming. Lastly for the house one I will be filming some scenes in my house, meaning I need to make sure the house is clear on that day of filming and that there is no potentially dangerous equipment lying around. 

  

Legal and ethical considerations  

There is a wide range of legal and ethical considerations I need to consider when creating my film for example I need to make sure that there is no one in my film that does not want to be as my main location will be outside therefore i need to make sure i get permission to film anyone that walks by or is present during the filming. Also, I need to make sure I avoid any logos or merchandise that are from the school when I film inside the school. I need to gain permission to film in these locations, especially the school as if not this could cause potential problems for the children's parents as it is illegal to film minors without their parents' consent.
